This morning, while I was working in a second-grade classroom, the teacher was having me correct some papers for her. It consisted of worksheets on digraphs, blends and correcting spelling tests. I think that I'm pretty unfamiliar with this, since I don't remember doing it before. The teacher me asked if I understood what she said and I said that I understood, but that there was just too much for me to remember. I think that my answer was only half right, since I don't think that it was clear to me. She does know about my diagnosis, but that doesn't help me when I'm struggling. The students were doing independent work, so the teacher came over to me. She took all the papers except the spelling. The spelling test had different parts and I really didn't understand how to correct the “pattern” part, so I just corrected the spelling of the words. All I can say is I did my best and that is all I can do.
