A problem with using my electric peeler

Today, I was trying to use my electric peeler to peel some apples. It just wasn't working! After trying it several times, I realized that I had to move a piece back on the peeler. I just had to laugh at my mistake. I think that I have had this peeler and have used it every fall for over ten years and I don't remember ever having this problem. I do remember using this peeler a few weeks ago and I think that at that time, I was able to use it without any problems.
