Nov. 27, 2011 (Chapter 16 Problem Solving and Making Decisions in my book)

Today when I was cleaning, for some reason, I thought about when I needed to replace the bulbs above the bathroom vanity. I remember going to a retail store, unable to find the right bulb. I guess that I gave up and for some reason I never thought of checking other stores. I guess that it just never crossed my mind. One day during lunch at work, I mentioned the light bulb problem and someone asked me if I had checked a local home improvement store. I think that I probably said no. Today, I went to a local home improvement store and I was able to find the right bulbs. I don't think that this is something that happens all the time, but when it does, it doesn't make me feel very smart. I just wonder why I couldn't figure this out on my own! All I can think of is the part of my brain that is used for problem solving is being affected by this memory impairment.

Lately, I said to someone, "I'm my own worst critic, or something like that". I don't remember being like this before. It's funny how life changes who you are.
