Fog in my brain while working as a cashier

Today about half way through my eight-hour shift at a retail store, something happened when I was working at the register. I noticed that when I asked a customer, “Would you like that in a large bag?” To me, there seemed to be a brief pause in order to complete the sentence. It seemed like I was also having problems with word retrieval and talking slowly. Very strange!
