I'm realizing that my memory impairment is causing problems with my relationships and it bothers me a lot. Friday night, I remembered that my mom should have called me, but she didn't and I was a little mad and confused. My mom just recently turned seventy-seven years old and her cognition is very good.
When I didn't hear from her on Friday evening, I called her yesterday morning. As soon as she started talking, I could tell that she was having a lot of pain with her mouth. Now I realized why she hadn't called me.
This is just the way my brain works! Some things I remember and some I don't. I remembered that she was supposed to call me, but I didn't remember that when I had talked to her a few days earlier that she had been in pain with her mouth. It can be so frustrating for me, since I really push myself to be my best, but sometimes it doesn't work out so well.
