Getting a manicure

Last night after work, I decided to treat myself to a manicure and a pedicure. I remember that I had a pedicure a few months ago. I think that it has been at least ten or more years since I had a manicure done. I polish my own nails once in a while but not all the time.
Today while I was working at a retail store, I found myself looking at my fingernails a lot. I remember having the manicure last night, so I knew that wasn’t the problem. I think the problem was that I didn’t recognize the fingers as mine, as if that makes any sense. After a few hours, everything seemed okay. This definitely was a little strange for me. I think that this might have happened because most of the time, my nails are not polished.
I know that keeping things in my life and my surroundings consistent and having a schedule, helps me to function at my best. Perhaps just this little change in nail color was a little strange for me because a lot of times I don’t do well with change.
In thinking about this, I know that I wasn't looking at my manicure and saying, wow, they look nice. It was this really strange feeling. I wonder if the fog had rolled in.
