The Fog

These were some of my symptoms when I felt like the “fog” had rolled in. I began to notice some things happening while I was working at a retail store. When I told some of my customers the total for their purchases, in my head I was thinking, “twenty-three dollars and one six cents”, when the actual amount was $23.16. I think that I caught myself, so most of the time, I corrected it before the words came out of my mouth. I think that this has happened before. The other thing that happened was when I took the cash from the customer and typed it into the register. Twenty dollars should be typed in as 2000 cash. Instead, quite a few times during my shift, I typed in 200, which meant two dollars. Luckily, I caught myself and then I just typed in 1800 cash for the rest of the money that I was given. Somehow, I just got through my shift and then things seemed better. I think that my brain was foggy off and on this weekend.

A few days later, while I was working as cashier, my brain seemed a little better than the weekend, but I did notice some processing problems. It seemed to take me a little longer to count out the money. My brain felt like it was a little delayed, but I don't think that my customers were aware of it. It felt like I was just a little slower.
