The fog rolling in

Yesterday I spent some time at my friend's home. My cognition can change so quickly that sometimes I'm not even aware of it. I started to feel really weird which means that I didn't feel like "me"! I realized that the "fog" had rolled in. Whatever she said to me at this point was no longer making sense. I didn't really explain this to her, but told her that I wasn't feeling right. Then I said that I would go home and "sleep it off".

Today I went to spend the day with my mom. It seemed like the fog was mostly gone! I did find myself searching my brain for a word while I was talking to my mom. Sometimes I was able to find the word and sometimes not so much. Luckily, she is very understanding and it is not a big deal. When I was able to find the word in my brain, I said, "Yeah, me!" It is so nice to celebrate these little victories when I have them.
