Today while I was food shopping, I got a little confused. I wanted to buy some cinnamon rolls in the bakery department. The expiration date said 01 13. To me this meant, Jan. 2013, which I knew couldn't be right. I thought that they might have dated them wrong. I didn't put them in my cart, since I really couldn't figure this out. I didn't want to ask an employee because I didn't want to feel stupid!
Later when I forgot something, I went by the cinnamon rolls again. I checked out the packages of cinnamon rolls to see if I could figure it out. I kept reading the date on all of them 01 13. I kept saying it in my head. Suddenly it seemed to click and I thought 01 13 meant Jan. 13, so I put them in my cart and brought them home with the rest of my groceries.
After I got home, I noticed that it actually said Jan. 1 13. Now I don't really know what the expiration date is. Oh well! I guess I will still enjoy the cinnamon rolls.
I was happy because I thought that I had figured it out, but in the end, I still don't know what the numbers meant. Oh well! This was my shopping adventure for today!
