Why am I saying hi to my boyfriend a lot?

Recently I noticed that I was saying “hi” quite a lot to my boyfriend and we talked about it. We were sitting on the couch, just watching tv. Several times I suddenly said to him, “Hi.” After one particular time, he asked, “where have you been?” I said, “right here with you”. Then he said, “do you know why you keep saying hi to me?” I just said, “I have no idea!” He said, “you’re just so cute!” We just smiled and laughed about it!

I asked him if I had been doing this for a long time, or just recently. He said that I have been doing it for a while. I asked him if it had been for several weeks or months. He said months. I’m so glad that he is not getting aggravated by me doing this, especially since I have no clue why this is happening. I don’t feel like I’m in the “fog”, so I don’t really have an explanation for this behavior.

Perhaps it will just stop, much like it started. For now, it is just another puzzle that I don’t have an answer or a solution for. For now, he and I can just laugh at this.
