I didn't remember that my boyfriend was holding my hand

Last Friday my boyfriend and I were sitting on his couch watching a movie. We were holding hands. A short time later, I got a little startled! My hand sort of twitched and I looked down at our hands. It was as if I had forgotten that I was holding his hand or perhaps I forgot whose hand I was holding. I'm not sure which it was.

A short time later, I told him what happened. He said that he could understand how that could happen. That someone could be so interested in what is happening in a movie that they are not aware of other things happening. I think that I knew that he and I were holding hands, but at some point, I had forgotten this.

This will not stop me from enjoying my life with my family, close friends and him. I will continue to focus on the positive things in my life and not what this memory impairment has taken from me.
