I did not recognize a hair stylist from 2 days ago

A couple days ago I got my hair cut at a place where I have probably been to once before, but I saw a different stylist. It has probably been a few years or more since I was there. I don’t remember the first stylist by name, but I can recognize her.
Two days later, I returned to the salon to have the stylist check my cut because it seemed like one side was a little longer than the other. I had a card with her 1st name on it, so I knew that her name was Sara and I had remembered that she was young and had short hair. Those were the only details that I could remember. I entered the salon I asked a different stylist if Sara was working and Sara just happened to be also standing there. They pointed her out to me so I explained to her about my cut. I really hadn’t recognized her at all. She had me sit in her chair and she trimmed the one side just a little bit. She never made me feel bad for not recognizing her so I was very thankful for that.
I’m pretty sure that when I was much younger and not dealing with a memory impairment, that I would have remembered what my stylist looked like after two days. If I return to this salon again, I will just need to explain to the stylist about my short- term memory problems. That way, it will make it easier for me because she will understand when or if I don’t recognize her. I will probably return some time to have her trim my hair again because I like her and the way that she cut my hair.
I will continue to live and enjoy my life the best way that I know how. I will also continue to educate people about what it is like to live with a memory impairment. Since I’m mostly doing pretty well, I can still choose who I tell and who I don’t tell. I do know that usually my long- term memory is pretty good.
