I didn't remember what my hair stylist looked like

This past Wednesday after school, I went to get my hair cut. The 1st time that I had this hair stylist cut my hair was in June. I remember the salon and even her name, but the problem happens when I don’t remember what she looks like. I just can’t get it into my long-term memory. I didn’t get my hair trimmed in July, but when I returned to the salon this past week, I saw a girl at the register and I asked her if Sara was working. She told me that she was Sara. I apologized for not recognizing her and she said that she recognized me. I tried to explain that I have a really bad memory and she seemed fine with that. I wished that they wore name tags because it would make it easier for me. I just wonder when I will have a picture of her in my long-term memory. How long will it take? Right now, all I could remember is that she is a young girl with dark hair, but I guess by the time I get my hair cut again, I might forget these details.
When this is happening to me, it just makes me feel dumb, even though I know it is not my fault. It still hurts because I’m aware that I can’t remember something that I think that most people probably have no problem with.
