Putting together my new vacuum cleaner

Yesterday, I went to a retail store to pick up a vacuum cleaner that I had ordered online a couple of weeks ago. After dinner, I opened up the box, in hopes of putting it together myself. Once I got the box open, I decided to take pictures before I unpacked any parts and during this process. My reason for doing this was in case the vacuum cleaner didn’t work right or I didn’t like it, I would have to return it. Hopefully the pictures on my camera would help me pack it back in the box so that it fit.

In the box, there were directions on how to put it together and I tried that, but then I saw a video link, so I went on my computer. This worked out well since I could pause or rewind the video to help me. I have never been very good at putting things together, but I thought that I’d try to do it myself, since I was hoping that I could do it.

There were a few parts that I really had to figure out how they went on the upright, but it seemed to go together well. When I was done, I plugged it in and I tried it! Surprisingly, it worked great! Yeah me!! It just makes me feel so good that I was able to accomplish this task without asking anyone for help!

I am not usually a person who can put things together correctly, so I am so glad that it worked out well! I know that when I bought it, it said "can be put together without tools". I guess I thought that this was the vacuum cleaner for me!

Many years ago, I realized that I'm a “visual learner”, so that would explain why the video helped me better than the written instruction manual.
