(Chapter 13 Interaction with Spouse or Significant Other in my book)
The other night, my boyfriend got a little upset with me. I think that we were watching tv and he was trying to say something to me. I didn't even pay attention to him, as if I didn't hear him. Well actually, I didn't hear anything he said until he complained. I didn't really know what to say, so I just said that I was sorry.
I know that I would never intentionally ignore someone, so I tried to figure out why and this happened. I think that what happened is we were watching something that I needed to concentrate on, so that I could follow the story line. Otherwise, I would have to ask him lots of questions and it still might not make sense to me.
Yesterday, I explained this to him and he understood. I know that when I'm watching a program that has a story line that I need to follow, I really can't multi-task, such as be on my computer too. Depending on the storyline, I might still have trouble following it. If I ask him questions, it might help, but not always. I just do the best that I can and I continue to enjoy my life!
