Why I can't move things around too much in my apartment

I think that I have lived in my apartment for about seven years. There are times when I want to move things from one cabinet to a different one, but I decided not to do that. The problem with moving things in my apartment is that I would probably remember where it was a year ago or longer but I wouldn't remember its new location. That is because I mostly struggle with my short-term memory. It makes it challenging for me sometimes, but I do find ways to manage.
