(Chapter 4 Finding the Humor in my book)

Sometimes I just have to laugh at things that happen due to my memory problems. Yesterday, I was putting away my spring/summer clothes and taking out my fall/winter clothes. I found some capris on a shelf in my bedroom closet and since they no longer fit me, I decided to put them in a bag for donation. I found a few pairs that were my size so I decided to try them on and some of them fit, so I put them with my other capris to be packed away for the winter. Then I realized that one of the pairs of capris that I had just tried on was the same pair that I had just taken off and were on my bed because I had been wearing them. I had worn this pair all spring and summer. That would explain why they looked familiar to me. I just have to laugh when these things happen!

This is very common for me with my memory. I will frequently forget something moments later. That is just the way it is and I can't change that. It can be extremely frustrating! I can't tell you how often that my memory and cognition will make me feel really stupid even though I know that I'm not.
