(Chapter 3 Memory Problems in my book)

Yesterday I had a dentist appointment and unfortunately, I couldn't remember what time the appointment was. I kept getting frustrated because I kept going into the kitchen and looking at the calendar. This can just drive me nuts when I can't remember something from one minute to the next or just a short time later!

Then a short time later, I finally figured out what to do. I took a piece of scrap paper, looked at the calendar and wrote “1:50 Dentist”. I put the note on the snack tray near where I sit on my couch. Problem solved! I am so glad that I figured that one out!

While I was at the dentist, I had a temporary crown put on. Afterwards, the dental assistant explained what not to do. I listened very carefully to her directions. When I got out of the room and I was talking to the receptionist, I jotted down on a piece of paper, “no power brush, no flossing, no sticky food.” This will remind me how to take care of the temporary crown for about two weeks until I have the permanent one put on. Without these notes, I have no idea how I would remember.
