(Chapter 5 Losing Things & Getting Lost in my book)
This morning, I had my six-month appointment with my neurologist. I went alone and I knew how to get to the office, but parking garages are a whole different story for me!
Because I have a bad knee so I have trouble walking and standing so I have a handicapped plaque for my vehicle. This helped me to park near the elevator in the parking garage. I had no problem finding the elevator to get to the medical building. Then I went on another elevator to the 3rd floor. After my appointment, I found my way back to my vehicle without any problems.
Once I got back into my vehicle, I backed out of the parking space, went straight, then left, not knowing that I was going the wrong way. I kept going around and round until I found myself in the basement of the garage and it looked like a dead end. I turned my vehicle around and I headed back the way that I had come from. I even recognized the empty parking space near the elevator where I had been parked.
I kept going around and round until I finally found the exit. I was so happy to find the exit! Parking garages are like a maze to me! I'm so glad that I didn't have to ride around the parking garage all afternoon!
After returning home, I called my Mom and I told her all about my parking garage adventures and she felt bad that this happened to me.
