(Chapter 3 Memory Problems in my book)

Today one of my best friends who I've known for over forty years came to my apartment. We live about thirty-five minutes apart and we see each other about three times a year. We had a great time catching up on things. When she was leaving my apartment, she saw a sign on the wall. She said that she was glad that I liked it because she had given it to me within the past year. I told her that I hadn't remembered that she gave it to me. I felt bad that I didn't remember but it didn't seem to bother her. After she left, I took it off the wall, got some masking tape and I wrote her name and the year that she gave it to me.
