I had an MRI done on my knee

(Chapter 15 Medical Appointments and its Challenges in my book)

I put the address of the hospital in my navigation system in my vehicle. I followed the directions and arrived at the hospital. There was only a small parking lot in front of the hospital. I looked for a handicap spot that I could park in and not have to walk so far, but they weren't available. I saw somebody in the parking lot and I asked him where I could park and he pointed to a parking garage across the street. So, I drove to the parking garage and I parked in a handicapped spot. I parked near a sign that said sky bridge to hospital because I knew I needed to go there to go over the street to get into the hospital.

From the garage, I had to take an elevator up to the first floor. Then I had to walk down a hallway and I had to ask someone for help. Then I got on another elevator to get to the floor where the radiology department was. It was an adventure!

After the MRI was done, I went down a hallway and I found the main lobby and an information desk. When I looked outside, I saw the sky bridge that I had walked on before from the parking garage and I realized that it was probably less walking and less confusing for me to just go out the door and cross the street. After I walked into the parking garage, I took a few different turns, followed the signs that said “sky bridge to hospital” because I knew that my vehicle was parked near that sign. This was so much easier for me and so much less confusing, so I'm glad that I figured out that I could go that way. Hopefully if I need to go to this hospital again, I will remember to just walk out of the garage, cross the street to go to the hospital rather than take the sky bridge because that way is too confusing for me to deal with and much more walking.
