(Chapter 18 Problem Solving and Making Decisions in my book)

This morning, I was sitting on my chair putting on my sneakers. I brought my right foot up towards me, but when I grabbed the sneaker, I had the left one in my hand. I'm not sure why I didn't pay attention when I grabbed the sneaker off the floor. For some reason, this caused me some confusion. Suddenly, I found myself thinking for a few seconds about what to do. “Do I switch feet or do I switch sneakers?” I think that I kept looking at the sneakers and my feet. After a short time, I decided that I needed to put the left sneaker back on the floor and grab the right one to put it on. I'm so glad it worked out okay, but I'm not really sure why this happened. I'm pretty sure that this is the first time that I've had this problem. I think that usually this is a task that I don't really need to give it much thought, but rather just get it done successfully. The only explanation that I have for this is the “fog” must have rolled into my brain, because when it does things are not as clear as they once were.
