Sept. 16, 2017 (Chapter 26 MCI Tool Box in my book)
I use a wipe-off calendar that magnetizes to my fridge. As long as I remember to look at it daily, I usually know whether I have any appointments. Most of the time, it will help keep me on task. I have to admit that there are times when I forget to look at the calendar.
I try to lessen my stress as much as I can because I know that increased stress will only make my symptoms much worse. I try not to write everything down, because too many notes can get too overwhelming for me to deal with! I try to just write down the really important stuff and I let the other stuff go.
I can seem fine one minute, then the fog sort of creeps in and things are so confusing for me to deal with. This can happen anytime and anywhere. I have made a decision that if it starts to happen when I'm driving, it might be time to talk to my neurologist about whether it is safe for me to drive. I just hope and pray that doesn't happen but it isn't something that I can control. Living with a memory impairment makes me wonder if I will even remember this.
