The problems with words

Sometimes I ask someone to repeat something. I think that I do this because I have either forgotten what they said or I don’t understand the words. It is as if my brain is processing language rather slowly. Sometimes all I need to understand what someone is saying is to hear the words again or extra time to process their words.
