(Chapter 26 MCI Tool Box in my book)
Since I was diagnosed with a memory impairment in 2005, I have learned to just live in the moment, because I don't really have a choice. I don't think that it was anything that I decided to do but rather it just happened.
Living in the moment or the present is so important because there is no point in worrying about the past or being worried about the future. The only thing that I should focus on is what is happening now. Besides there are times when I am unable to remember what happened recently.
This doesn’t mean that I can stop the fog if it rolls in but I can try to do something to lower my stress while it is happening. I can choose how I react to what I can’t control.
