(Chapter 6 Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)
I think that for the most part, I'm still very social. It might be because my diagnosis was back in 2005, so I have had lots of time to adjust to it. Most of the time, I don't apologize because I can't remember something that happened or when I don't recognize someone who I should know. These things that happen to me happen because there is something wrong with my brain. I can't change that fact and I can't fix it. I am not doing it on purpose. If I could prevent those things from happening I would.
