(Chapter 3 Memory Problems in my book)

Not remembering if I gave my Mom her Mother's Day card

Last weekend, I spent Mother's Day with my children and my twin granddaughters. I wasn't able to drive an hour to see my Mom last weekend so I spent the past two days with her. This morning, I looked at the white roses on my mom's table and remembered that my brother had given them to her on Mother's Day. Suddenly I was worried and I asked my Mom if I had given her a Mother's Day card. I asked her this because I had driven to see my Mom yesterday, stayed overnight and I hadn't remembered giving her the card that I had bought. I said to her, “I hope that I didn't leave your card at home.” She said that I had mailed the card to her last week and it had arrived before Mother's Day. I was so relieved when she told me that I hadn't left it at home and that she already had it. I told her that I was so glad that I had not forgotten the card. I remembered buying a card, but I really didn't remember mailing the card to her.
