(Chapter 3 Memory Problems in my book)
About a month ago, I interviewed for a volunteer position as a senior companion. For the past three days, I have been attending a six-hour orientation. I think that during these three days, there were three or more women doing the training, but usually just one person at a time.
I think on the second day, the woman who was training us seemed a little familiar to me, but I was unsure if I had met her before. Once she starting talking, then I realized that she was the person who had interviewed and hired me. For some reason her voice was more familiar to me than her face and once she started talking, I knew who she was and her name. I hope that the next time that I see her that I will remember who she is. The other women I don't think that I had ever met before this orientation.
None of the women know about my diagnosis because I choose who I tell about my memory impairment.
