It is amazing how much better my long term memory is rather than my short term memory

(Chapter 3 Memory Problems in my book)

Today I was watching tv and I saw someone performing the song Bridge Over Troubled Water. I knew right away that he wasn't the original artist that I remembered singing it many years ago. I searched my brain for the original artist and I came up with Simon and Garfunkel. I also guessed that the song was released in either 1968, 1969 or 1970. After looking this up online, Simon and Garfunkel released the song in 1970. That was 48 years ago and I was around twelve or thirteen years old.

This is how my memory works while living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). My long-term memory is usually really good, but my short term is sometimes really bad.
