(Chapter 24 My Thoughts and Feelings in my book)

What I know is that the majority of people diagnosed with MCI DO NOT progress to a form of dementia. In 2005 I was diagnosed at age forty-seven. After thirteen years, I have not progressed to MCI. I think that the majority of MCI patients who do progress to dementia, it happens within the first 5-10 years after diagnosis.

I think that only around 30% of people diagnosed with MCI progress to dementia. I know that I was diagnosed with amnesic MCI.
