(Chapter 17 Working while living with a memory impairment in my book)

Sometimes while living with mild cognitive impairment, working has been very challenging for me. I think that sometimes it can be frustrating and the person with the memory impairment might feel that if they asked for help that it might make them feel like they can no longer do their job. Even if this is the case, it is difficult to accept. If they have a neurologist that they see, they probably should talk to them.

I know that if I did not have a bad fall at my job and later went on permanent disability, I would have had to see my neurologist to find out about filing for disability because of the mild cognitive impairment symptoms. I was having way too much fog while I was working two jobs, six days a week. I think that I was having fog either daily or every other day. It made it very challenging to work both of my jobs.
