(Chapter 6 Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)
In 2005, at age forty-seven I was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. I have problems with short term memory, comprehension, sometimes long-term memory, not able to follow verbal multi-step directions, but if it is written down, I can usually be successful. Sometimes I also have challenges with problem solving and making decisions.
