Mixing up words

(Chapter 16 The Many Problems with Words in my book)

Sometimes my brain mixes up words. For example: pin and pen. I will read the word incorrectly to myself but it won’t make sense in the sentence. When I reread the sentence with the correct word, it will all make sense to me. I’m not sure why this is happening but maybe I am just reading it too quickly. I know that when there is too much text I either skip reading it or skim the text and try to pull out the important parts so I can figure out what it is about. Sometimes that will work and sometimes it doesn’t.
