(Chapter 26 MCI Tool Box in my book)
Over the fourteen years since my mild cognitive impairment diagnosis, there are a few things that make my symptoms much worse. The first one is too much stress, second is working too many hours and the third thing is trying to do too much multitasking. I think that if these three things are kept to a minimum my symptoms are pretty minimal.
I have learned quite a lot because I have had to in order to figure out how to manage and cope with my symptoms. When you are living with a diagnosis such as mild cognitive impairment (MCI), it can take a lot of energy just to function each day. I feel that I always need to make the best choices for me. This helps me to function at my best.
