(Chapter 4 Finding the Humor in my book)
A couple weeks ago, I went to my dental hygienist for my six-month cleaning. After she was finished cleaning my teeth, she gave me a little bag with a new toothbrush and some sample bottles of mouthwash. After I got home, I looked at the labels on the two bottles of mouthwash and I thought that they were different. I decided to put both of them on my vanity to use at night after I brushed and flossed. One night I would rinse my mouth with the mouthwash from one bottle and the next night I would use the other bottle. I did this for about two weeks without really giving it any thought.
It wasn’t until last night that I noticed that both of the bottles were the same. I think that both of the front of the labels was facing me, so that is how I realized they were the same thing. Before this happened, I had been reading the front of one bottle and the back of the other. I just had to laugh at my mistake because it was kind of funny! The front of the label is blue and the back of the label is white. Laughing at how my brain functions is much less stressful than crying.
I think that most people would have realized that they were reading the back of one bottle and turn the bottle around, but for me I hadn’t thought about doing that for two weeks.
