Realizing that I’m using my built-in navigation even though I shouldn't need it

(Chapter 6 Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)
I have been volunteering as a senior companion since Sept. 2018. I have been visiting seniors weekly in their homes. Recently I realized that I was still relying on my navigation system to get me to their homes. Around May 2019 I moved from one town to the next, so I can understand using my navigation system, but it should only have been used for a month or less. I don’t think that it is good for me because I’m not using my brain to do these things that I should be able to do. Since realizing this, I am not using my navigation system unless I am going to a place that I don’t know how to get to. I guess that it just became a habit for me.
