(Chapter 24 My Thoughts and Feelings in my book)
Living with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), I always try to be positive. Over the years I have learned to remove toxic people from my life because they just add more stress to it. Too much stress usually equals increased memory impairment symptoms. I would rather have less or no symptoms rather than deal with too much fog and other symptoms. Because I was diagnosed in 2005, I have had a long time to deal with the symptoms. I have learned that it is a lot easier to try to keep the symptoms away rather than deal with them after they arrive.
