I wonder if I ever knew that you can buy furniture & make payments on it

Did I ever know that you could buy furniture and make payments? The reason that I question this is because I don't remember that you can do this. Recently I was talking to my Mom and I was telling her that I really needed to buy some new living room furniture. She said that I should go pick something out. I told her that I didn’t think that I had enough money to buy it right now. She said that they will finance it and I can pay later. I was rather shocked by this because I haven’t bought any new furniture since around 2002. It was as if I had never heard about this before. It is always an adventure living with a memory impairment!
