How do I find the right shade of orange yarn?

Today I went to the store to buy some orange yarn. I needed it to make a carrot nose for a crocheted Olaf. I found two shades of orange yarn but I was unsure which skein would be the best. I took both skeins to the produce department and I put them next to some carrots. I ended up buying the skein of yarn labeled pumpkin. I don't know if most people would do what I did, but I just couldn't look at the different shades of orange skeins and be able to tell which shade would be the best. All I know is that this helped me choose the best shade of orange.
