(Chapter 12 Navigating Relationships While Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)

I was talking to my daughter on the phone about the road conditions. I was supposed to be babysitting my granddaughters but last night we had snow and freezing rain. My daughter and I live about forty minutes from each other. I asked her how the roads were where she lives and she said, “well, they are not amazing.” I thought for a minute and then I said “I'm not sure what you mean by that.” My daughter said, “Mom, the roads aren't good, so you shouldn't be driving.” I said, “okay.” I don't really know why she couldn't have just said that in the first place but I'm glad that I had her explain it to me.
