Did the fog roll in?

(Chapter 6 Living with a Memory Impairment in my book)

Today I decided to go to a local car wash. I don't remember the last time that I have been to a car wash. I know that sometimes when I drove an hour and spent the weekend with my Mom, on the way home I would get my car washed not far from where she lived. I know that the car wash near my Mom's apartment always did a great job so that is why I preferred to go there. I don't know if I have ever been to this car wash before. Luckily as I got closer to the entrance, I saw an employee there. He explained the different kinds of washes and waxes. I chose one and I put my debit card in the machine. I know that usually when I went through the car wash near my Mom's apartment, I always had to put my car in neutral. At this car wash, the man told me to put my car in park. It felt very weird to be going through the car wash today. I don't remember it feeling like this before. Perhaps the fog has rolled in. Either way, I'm glad that is over! After I arrived home, I was feeling fine.
