(Chapter 25 Caregiver Tips in my book)
If you are a caregiver for someone who has a memory impairment and they are challenged by their comprehension, I would try to explain things to them in the simplest of terms, only things what they really need to know. Sometimes the fewest words work best. You also need to give them time to process what you are saying to them. If they don’t understand it the first time, you can try to reword it. Writing it down could also help them.
