Why couldn't I figure this out?

(Chapter 18 Problem Solving and Making Decisions in my book)

Very soon I will be having my third granddaughter and I am very excited. I will be babysitting my two-and-a-half-year-old twin granddaughters while their parents go to the hospital to have the new baby. A few weeks ago, I started thinking about a craft project that I could do with the twins. I decided to buy some pink poster board. I had some left-over baby wrapping paper from the baby shower, so I decided to cut some designs out of it. At first, I didn't like the way it was coming out, but then I decided to use some of my cookie cutters to trace then cut out in different shapes. The shapes that I used were a heart, a circle and another shape that had a lot of rounded curves. After cutting out some of these shapes I realized that the wrapping paper was going to be too thin for the twins to glue onto the poster board. I used a glue stick to glue some wrapping paper shapes onto copy paper. Then I cut them out. I also made a copy of each page that I made, so that each toddler could have the same ones. I had gone shopping to several stores and I was unable to find some “baby stickers.”

Today I decided to do an online search for “baby stickers”. When I did this, it showed images for baby stickers under different categories. The categories were printable, scrapbook, boy, girl, cute, monthly. I couldn't believe that when I had gone shopping, I didn't look for these stickers where the scrap booking supplies were. That was just not something that I even thought of. The twins are going to use these shapes to make welcome home posters for their new baby sister.

UPDATE: June 19, 2020 Today I went to a craft store and I looked down the scrapbook aisle. Luckily, I was able to find some great stickers. They ended up being on sale for half off so I bought two sticker packs. I'm so glad that I was finally able to figure this out.

June 29, 2020, I went to babysit my granddaughters while their parents went to the hospital to have their sister. I gave each of them a pink poster board, baby sticker pack, the shapes that I had made and a glue stick. I had already written Welcome Home on each poster and their name. Both toddlers were very excited about their new sister and making the posters. Over the next three days, they worked on the posters. I think that they both mostly used the shapes that I had made, rather than the sticker pack. They had a lot of fun working on their posters!
