April 23, 2019 (Chapter 2 Acceptance and Denial in my book)

Since my diagnosis thirteen years ago, I have been able to accept that I can't change how my brain functions but I can change my reaction to it. Although I know that sometimes this isn't so easy for me to do. I also accept that there are times when I am missing chunks of my day, unable to remember where I was or what I was doing. I can't do anything to stop that from happening. I accept that it is just part of living with a memory impairment.
