Sept. 17, 2019 (Chapter 2 Acceptance and Denial in my book)
Most of the time, I don’t apologize for repeating things or forgetting something because it is not my fault. I am not doing it on purpose. All I can do is “my best” to help me function but sometimes I will fail. It is just a part of my life and I accept that.
I think that once someone gets a diagnosis, they need to take the time to accept the diagnosis. Then it is time to find ways of dealing with the challenges that the memory impairment causes.
