Accepting a memory impairment diagnosis is very important!

Living with mild cognitive impairment you have to learn to accept the things that happen due to the diagnosis. You need to know that it is not your fault and that you can't do anything to make it not happen. Acceptance helps lesson the stress of living with a memory impairment. Acceptance is NOT "giving up". It is accepting what you can't change. Then figuring out as you go along how to cope with the symptoms.
