Dec. 17, 2020 (Chapter 25 Caregiver Tips in my book)

If your spouse or loved one lives with a memory impairment, simple decisions can be very difficult for them. They can become very confused and not know what to do. One of the things that is confusing for me is when I go into a friend's bathroom. After I wash my hands and there is just one towel to use, there is no confusion for me. I'm all set to use the one towel that is hanging up. The confusion happens if there are multiple towels for decorations etc. I will have no clue which one to use. I could be in the bathroom for a while just trying to figure this out. If you live with someone who has a memory impairment, it would be much easier if there was just one towel left out for them to use. Then there are no decisions to be made. It is very simple.
