I spent Easter with my children and it was a good day. I don't know how we started talking about my short-term memory problems, but I was okay with it. I can remember many words to songs and titles, especially from the 70’s, my daughter said to me, “how can you remember that, but forget important things?” I wished that I could have thought about a reply because it should have gone like this, “that is because my long-term memory is still pretty good.” This just reinforces the fact that she just doesn’t understand. Most of the time my long-term memory is much better than my short term.
Sometimes I feel like my three children are in denial that I have a memory problem. I'm not sure how to change that but I think that is something that I need to figure out.
