Forgetting my words so quickly

It is crazy how quickly something can leave my brain. While messaging a friend on social media, I was also going to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. A few seconds later, all I did was send them a message. It did not include Happy Thanksgiving. I had forgotten all about it. It wasn't until they sent me a message and I saw it the next day that I realized that I hadn't wished them a Happy Thanksgiving. I really hate when I forget something so quickly.
