How I responded to a social media post

This is a recent social media post: I have dementia. My responses may be slow. Take your time and wait for me. It means more than you can know.

This was my response:

Amen! Although I don't live with dementia, but mild cognitive impairment can cause this to happen to me. Sometimes all I need to help me understand the words that someone is saying, is some extra time. During this time, it feels like my brain is processing language but it is much slower than usual.
